Procedural Roots
For this project, I wanted to gain significant knowledge about visual coding while creating an asset I could use in any project or possibly even import across different software platforms.
As you can see, the visual node tree is quite extensive, and it took me several days to get everything working properly. The end result is a coded node that allows me to easily draw branches into any scene, complete with various species of plants attached. I can animate the growth of the branches, and the plants are animated to flow gently in the breeze and grow directly from the branches. Below the video is a visual representation of the node tree.
I also completed a similar project where I created grapes that I can draw into a scene, and they will grow automatically, much like the tree roots in the previous project. The grapes gradually develop and expand on their own, adding a natural, dynamic element to any scene!
